Wasila Giwa releases hit new EP “Love Files”


Talented Singer-Songwriter and Poet Wasila Giwa was born in Houston, Texas. Wasila discovered a passion for music at the tender age of 5. Growing up she was surrounded by culture, Father being a Nigerian- Native and Mother being a Houston-Native, her music influences range from Anita Baker to Tiwa Savage. She brings a timeless yet bold approach to music. She’s a Rebel with a cause, bringing Queendom music to the frontline. She’s an Activist through her music as she wants to inspire Girls/Women of color to be unapologetically themselves. 

She will be featured in March’s issue of Ellements magazine, Hollywood Unlocked, and in April’s issue of Rolling Stone magazine. She has done an array of things such as competing for Russels Simmons “Brave New Voices”, American Idol, and SXSW. Wasila has a new EP that just released titled “Love Files” featuring songs such as Toxic, Spanish Guitar and Title. She has yet to grace the surface of what the future has destined for her. Which we can see is a bright one!
